The Telecommunication Authority has established computer laboratory in more than 900 community schools. For this, three companies have shown interest in the tender.
Ankhu Enterprises , Balaju, World Distributes Nepal, Kathmandu and Obese Max Nepal have shown their desire to establish IT Labs. The financial proposal of the three companies has also opened. According to the spokesperson Min Prasad Aryal, these companies should be installed in six months of the agreement in the selected schools.
The project estimated to be around Rs 4 billion has been expected to improve the quality of education of rural-level school. This scheme has been made for the purpose of making schools with technology and increasing the education capacity of the students through information technology.
Authorization is about to provide lab for free for school . According to the Authority, the students of community school will be able to get a laboratory with the objective of attaining information technology. For this, the amount of rural telecommunication funds is being spent.
There will be up to 24 computers in a laboratory established by the Authority. Which will also be given 2 sets hard disk. The internet will also be added to the laboratory of the school. For that, the router will be also be provided for free.
This tender award will be done to connect the solar system to the non-resident school. The experiment will also include cutting edge projectors, paints, surveillance systems, and switches.
Authorities have also planned to enable the school to run the laboratory. For that, teachers of the school are trained to operate the computers
The program believes that the facilities will be given to the children in the school to provide knowledge about information technology and to produce proficient youth power in the future. After the establishment of the laboratory, the school will have to take responsibility for the operation. The authority for the establishment of the lab was called by the proposal.
